The voting slips that were sent out prior to the AGM in July were sent to the previous year's members, (2025) as has always been the case historically. As the vote results did not return enough Directors to make the board quorate, the voting was then re-opened and sent to the same list of voters. If you have an exclusive email address and have not received your voting slip, please check your spam/junk folder for an email from noreply@mail.electionbuddy.com If you still cannot see the voting slip, then please contact the office asap to update your email address and it will be passed on to PJE Accountants to re-send the voting slip. If you had a shared email address, then your voting slip will have been sent in the post. If you have not received it, please contact the office asap to confirm your postal address - if it has changed then a voting slip will be sent First Class. If you were not a member in 2025, you will not have been sent a voting slip. Voting closes for both postal and email on Friday 30th October.

The office will be closed to phone calls on Friday 16th October due to staff holiday. Emails will be monitored throughout the day.

Nominations for Sire Stakes yearlings are now open. Any horse sired by one of the below nominated stallions and born in 2025 is eligible for nomination into the series. Entries via the BHRC online entries system.

There is an error on the postal voting slips. The closing date is Friday 30th October, same as for the electronic voting. Apologies!

Details of the Awards Evening to follow shortly.

In previous editions of the Sire Stakes there were 1 week of heats and then a final or simply just a straight race. Where heats took place the fastest horses from the heats went to the inside draws. Since the format has changed in the Sire Stakes where there are now multiple legs throughout the year and then a final, neither the points nor the times are relevant to the post position for the final. This is because it is not mandatory to run in every leg. This is the second year this format has been used and last year, no queries were received. The new conditions have already been published in the public domain and they will be added to the Sire Stakes section on the BHRC website in due course and the BHRC would like to sincerely apologise for any confusion this may have caused.

Entries for 3rd October now open on the BHRC online entries system.
